Valve hält, was sie versprechen und führen die Reihe der Beta-Updates zu den Pistols fort. Nach der Anpassung an der Tec-9 wird das oberste Ziel der skilllastigeren Nutzung der Waffen weiterhin verfolgt. Die Pistols sind schon lange ein Streitpunkt innerhalb der Community - egal ob im Matchmaking oder bei 250.000 US-Dollar-Events. Deswegen folgt nach der Tec-9 nun eine Anpassung der Five-SeveN.

Valve macht dafür weiterhin Gebrauch von den Beta-Updates. Mit der jüngsten Anpassung solle das Ziel sein, taktisches und defensives Positioning zu belohnen. Deshalb wurde die Genauigkeit der Five-SeveN während des Laufens erheblich gesenkt, während die Genauigkeit beim Feuern von mehreren Schüssen minimal angehoben wurde.

Wie schon bei den Tec-9 Anpassungen werden in der Community Stimmen laut, ob Valve das Kernproblem richtig erfasst hätte und ob sie die richtigen Schlüsse ziehen.




Laut reddit-User SlothSquadron hätte die geringere Genauigkeit während des Laufens einen großen Einfluss. Deshalb wäre es weniger eine Anpassung oder Umstrukturierung der Five-SeveN, vielmehr aber ein Nerf. Weitere Details und Graphen kann man diesem Thread entnehmen.

  • Fixed some corner cases where buying items via console could ignore the user’s loadout selection.
  • Fixed an issue where attempting to drop undroppable items (like grenades) would count the items value towards the player’s “donations” for the round.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could cause players to show incorrect holstered weapons.
  • Fixed an issue where decoy grenades could make sounds from the wrong weapon.
  • Fixed “buy” console command to list all options instead of being a hardcoded help string.
  • Map editing: env_gunfire entities can now fire all weapon types (e.g. weapon_m4a1_silencer or weapon_revolver)
  • Fixed a memory leak related to spectating.
  • Adding ability to initiate trades from friend’s context menu.
