"Danger Zone" heißt der neue Battle Royale-Modus, bei dem 18 Spieler auf einer kleinen Map ums Überleben kämpfen. Was eigentlich für frischen Wind sorgen sollte, stieß in der Community auf Ablehnung. Die Profi-Szene scheint die Neuerung allerdings überwiegend positiv aufzunehmen.
The king returns to the esports throne by becoming free2play!

I hope valve continues to update the new BR mode to make it more competitive and enjoyable long-term.. Anyways thanks for the update @csgo_dev ❤
Yooooo wtf, best update in a long fucking way! Let’s go!! 🤙

I LOVE VALVE?

Whatever your feelings on BR modes are, it's the hottest game style atm for streamers, stream viewers, and sponsors. This could bring a new eyeballs and viewerbase and opportunities into CS.
— Jason O'Toole (@OnFireMoses) 6. Dezember 2018
I for one would like to welcome all you BR dorks to Counter Strike, the best game ever.
Thanks @csgo_dev pic.twitter.com/iBY4CULjMs

I’m excited for all the BR players to come over and give Danger Zone a try. It will only help the popularity and growth of CS:GO.
— DeKay (@dekay) 6. Dezember 2018
I’m even MORE excited to watch all of them get that ass clapped by people that can actually aim.
I'm saying that an absolute juggernaut going F2P will reverberate on a seismic scale.
— Adam Apicella (@MrAdamAp) 6. Dezember 2018
This is not a dying game changing commercial strategy to right the ship, this is a thriving top tier game changing. I'm not sure there is a precedent for it.
I'm gonna support anything that has the name DANGER ZONE, interested to see how much BR and F2P will increase the player base and, in the future, viewer numbers pic.twitter.com/K1fRfA0oZQ

Not big fan of BR, but I'm happy that we got f2p, should help our scene a lot 👍🏻
— NiKo (@fazeniko) 6. Dezember 2018
I always disliked battle royal games. I was so bad at them. I always blamed game mechanics and shooting mechanics. They were different from game I play on pro level. Let’s see if that was true or I just suck in general (probably the latter)
— STYKO 🚜 (@STYKOcsgo) 6. Dezember 2018
Well, let's fucking go. CS:GO F2P is huge (I HOPE VAC IS FKIN RDY), and the BR will be interesting!https://t.co/tmmxPI2GyM
— Nathan Schmitt (@NBK) 6. Dezember 2018
Vereinzelt gibt es allerdings auch negative Stimmen:
I mean if they actually release CS:GO Battle Royal it just shows that they're out of ideas and have the feeling that they're done with the game as it is. What they should do is simply add team matchmaking with different divisions and maybe som prizes in the higher divisions.
— Maikel Bill (@maikelele) 6. Dezember 2018
Kinda dont like the update the BR seems rly off tbh... But on a positive note he shows that valve start caring more and actually tries to put some work in =D !
— Martin Wessel (@PERCYcsgo) 6. Dezember 2018
Why dont you test your updates before releasing it? @csgo_dev

Jesper 'JW' Wecksell hat sogar eine Idee für die kommende BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 2018.
What do you think about @BLASTProSeries ditching their Aim stand-off and do it Danger-Zone style? 🤔
— Jesper Wecksell (@JW1) 6. Dezember 2018
This is what a lot of effort to grow CS:GO looks like from above. Guessing multiple level designers grinded for this view pic.twitter.com/r8GNBUhot1

I already see people criticizing the new battle royal mod. Give a feedback and try making it better instead of complaining all the time. #TogetherWeMakeCSgreat ❤️
