The CSPPA is as disappointed as the CS players are to hear that the dates of the next CS Major fall right after the player break. In our meeting with Valve at the Major in London, we made it clear the players feel the Major should always be held mid season or end of season.

Most certainly not at the start. When we heard the finalized Berlin dates, we reached out to Valve about the issue, but have received no reply as of yet. Valve must take control of the yearly calendar, they cannot keep trying to squeeze a Major into an already full year.

Juli statt.
If we didn't have the major straight after the player break we would have a much better idea of seeding and so would the teams 🙃 2020 let's hope for major cycles that make sense with our counter strike calendar.

It's been the "vacation" spot for years now and they still some how mess it up? I'm glad I haven't planned anything because I saw this coming but unlike me some others might already have. https://t.co/HFnUlKgbwI

We're still putting CS:GO's flagship tournaments at times where no teams are in form, why? Just reserve the times two times a year (March + October) and everyone is happy. Plan around the majors instead of the smaller tournaments (which every other tournament basically is)

i'm actually a big supporter of having a break before the major for a bunch of reasons. i think the biggest issue is that the break before the 2nd major is supposed to be when teams can just fully disconnect from CS and have a vacation if desired
